100 acre native forest,  organic home orchards, edible gardens, off grid living,  chickens, pet goats and our herd of 20 horses on the beautiful Tutukaka Coast in Northland.  Since 2002 we have created  our simple permaculture inspired way of life. In 2018 we acquired a second 100 acres 10 minutes drive from the home block.  Riverside it offers summer time living close to nature.  We  eat from the land where possible. Off grid, composting toilets, outdoor shower it is enjoyed by those who love outdoor living. Help with a variety of tasks based around the garden/animal needs and building.

Accomodation in summer is in our riverside campsite (tent/mattresses), other months a room in our house at home base. We are currently offering wolfing opportunities from October.  Message via email or phone/what's app.

General Information
You can add extended general information about your property
Our home farm of 100 acres is in the heart of an extensive Kiwi conservation project. Kiwi been our national bird and protected species. We call home Koru Creek. Our second 100acre paradise we call The Secret Spot. During the summer months we host our wwoofers and Te Araroa walkers from our very cool campsite under native forest and on the riverside. During the other months we provide indoor lodging in our simple home at Koru Creek.  Both properties have had extensive orchards and garden developed over the years from sub tropical to stone and pip fruit. Both are off grid with solar and some hydro at The Secret Spot. Family life is busy and we enjoy visitors so there is always plenty happening. Our children all still live with us. Our gardens feed us most of our food. We eat all food however respect the needs of vegetarians and vegan who will be in paradise in the summer gardens. We have a big herd of horses and a collection each spring of rescued lambs, calves and this year a baby goat. We have lots of chickens also. We love motivated Wwoofers keen to learn and give 100% whatever the task. We try to provide variety as so much work on the land is manual. Help is often in the gardens, orchards and if keen and able with construction of whatever the current project is. Our coastal community we think is pretty special and world class so we like to give you as much opportunity to explore it.  We ask for 4 hours of help on the land each day in exchange for food, a place to sleep and good times. We do enjoy the cultural exchange aspect. As we have young adults in our family our place us often very social. Ideally you would stay a minimum of 1 week and we suggest a review after 3 days to check in in case things aren't ideal for either party. If you would like to find out more touch base and we can talk further.

Anna, Dino, and our 4 children Gaia 21,  Riki 20, Shanti 18, and Nikau 14.
