Growing & marketing organic fruit and vegetables and other products. The orchard and gardens, pasture and cows, native bush and farm forestry, community are our vision to becoming a self-sufficient environment. Rustic cabin/caravan accommodation with the necessities provided, and amazing food from our organic farm shop, in exchange for a half day's work on the farm. You can visit the Bay of Islands and other attractions, or relax in a rural setting. We prefer longer term guests who are interested in growing organics, but will take shorter stays by arrangement.

General Information
You can add extended general information about your property

Kerikeri Organic is an organic farm 7km south of Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, Northland, and have been hosting willing workers here for 25 years.
In exchange for half a day's work, we provide basic accommodation (cabin/caravan, cooking facilities/shower/washing machine etc) and good healthy food from the Organic shop.

There's loads of great tourist spots in close proximity, and we are flexible around your hours so you can have extended time to explore and enjoy the area. Beautiful beaches, bushwalks, hikes, historical landmarks.

Most of the work at the moment is centered around the banana grove, community gardens, seedlings, garlic beds, compost making & orchard maintenance, and includes a variety of tasks.

We also host to a Bush School for home schooled children on Tuesdays and Fridays and "Serendipiday" at the farm on Saturdays, an organic fayre with wood fired pizzas, stalls, music and more. To facilitate this, we are in the process of building permanent structures on site at the Grove, including a roundhouse with a reciprocating roof. .

We are rebuilding our commercial-size organic market garden. We harvest and coordinate distribution of locally grown and New Zealand wide produce, providing a wide range of organic produce for delivery to individual customers or for sale at the gate. We would like help to apply the biodynamic practices. We also grow seedlings for own use and sale (plastic house).

We'd love to hear from you.
