- Tauhara is a retreat centre set in beautiful grounds overlooking Lake Taupo. We are a small friendly team who will go the extra mile to make you feel at home with us. Rooms are comfy and warm - twin share. We have large organic gardens and compost system.We use with eco-friendly principles and sustainable energy.
Tauhara is a Charitable Trust non-profit organisation.We welcome only non smokers, no alcohol. Wifi avail. Reasonable English required. 2 - 3 week stay

- The accommodation is shared twin rooms, caravans or camping. The exchange projects vary, they are in the kitchen, housekeeping and garden. Please make contact first by email. One week minimum stay to ensure both you and we are happy with the arrangement, then a further 2-4 weeks by mutual agreement. Our clear preference is for people interested in staying 3-4 weeks. Eco principles. Open Hearts and willing hands are especially welcome! Please call if you feel drawn to experience something different and unique!!~Non smokers - Non alcohol.
