Introduction

We are located on 77 acres of beautiful farmland near the Kaipara Harbour in Tauhoa, near Wellsford — just over an hour north of Auckland Central.
Our property is incredibly peaceful, private and diverse. Much of the land has no visible neighbouring houses, so it feels very quiet and immersed in nature. The landscape includes rolling pasture, large hills, wetlands and gullies, extensive areas of native bush, a pine forest, multiple ponds (including one very large lily-covered pond), and a stream running through mature native forest. From the hilltops there are stunning panoramic views out to the Kaipara Harbour and surrounding countryside.
We are developing the property into a regenerative permaculture farm, with a strong focus on caring for the land and raising calm, friendly animals. We breed and raise cows, and also have pet sheep, pet chickens, and a much-loved duck called Jemima. Our animals are very gentle and part of the family — we love our animals and enjoy giving them a happy, peaceful life.
We also have extensive veggie gardens & food forests, a polyhouse, multiple sheds, a barn, stable and cattle yards, so there are always a variety of interesting projects and activities happening around the property depending on the season (including hand milking cows).

We are a family of four, including a young adult and a nine-year-old — and we also have four dogs and two cats. Our homestead is a comfortable four-bedroom home. We  have a lovely separate cabin accommodation available for WWOOFers, peacefully positioned overlooking native bush.

This is a great place for people who enjoy nature, friendly animals, organic vegetable gardening, food forests, managing cows,  sheep & land organically, homesteading skills, off grid living & self-sufficiency, peaceful rural living, and learning more about regenerative farming and permaculture.
