Hey there!

Before you contact us, we'd love for you to take a moment to go through our description to get a better understanding of what we're looking for and what we have to offer.

Mahakaruna Farm is a beautiful certified organic property that's currently in the development stage. We're proud to say that we're one of a kind in New Zealand and we're committed to teaching and showcasing the amazing qualities of organics to other entrepreneurs. Your hosts, Harnold and Melissa, will be taking care of the property. We have so much to offer, including orchards, a market garden, a native tree nursery, beehives, and grazing animals. Plus, we have an on-site education centre where you can learn all about the joys of organic farming.

We're currently in the development stage, which means that we need workers to help us maintain the farm. The tasks you'll be responsible for include hand weeding/weed spraying (with vinegar, so no nasty chemicals), fertilizer spraying, composting and other projects. We're looking for candidates who are willing to do manual labour. You'll be required to work 4/5 hours per day, five days a week.

We have self-contained accommodation on site, which is away from the manager's house so that you can enjoy some peace and quiet. You'll have access to one sleep-out with space for three people (bunk bed, two under and one on top), as well as a shower and toilet block and a washing machine. We also have an outdoor (under cover) kitchen with the best view of the farm!

Our location is rural and about 15 minutes away by car from Motueka. We recommend that you have your own transport, but don't worry, we're located in the heart of New Zealand, so there are plenty of fun activities to keep you busy. Be sure to check out the Tasman region in NZ and see all the amazing things you can do here.

We can't wait to hear from you!
