- Kia ora!
We don't usually host in winter but my family is away for three weeks from mid June so we will have a cozy loft inside available for that time.
Take a look at our calendar before you send a message and check out our feedback for more info on what it's like staying with us.
We are an international, homeschooling, surfing, barefoot and wild family that lives on an eleven hectare block just five minutes from central Gisborne.
We are currently releasing (weeding) around young native trees, pruning, working on the house build, milking goats, milling timber, splitting firewood, growing children and doing all sorts of jobs around the farm.

| Number of people that can be accommodated |
/250 We can accomodate a variety of numbers depending on how much work we have on. The caravan fits a family of four nicely. We have had big groups stay in there own vehicles and tents.
|
| Preferred minimum stay |
/250 Two weeks is ideal for us but we can do one week if that's all you can manage.
|
| Preferred length of stay |
/250 We feel that a minimum stay of a week will help you appreciate fully what our lifestyle is about, and get to experience a variety of aspects related to self reliance. It also means we get to know each other! Long term is good too.
|
| Accommodation |
/250 You'll have a retro caravan with a double bed and two singles. While we build our house, we are all using an outdoor composting toilet and a separate outdoor shower.
|
| Organic Principles |
/250 We draw our inspiration from all kinds of modern and traditional sustainability techniques including permaculture and biodynamics. We eat about 90% organic and in summer, about half of our diet comes from the farm through garden, dairy and our sheep.

| Able to accommodate children |

|
| Diet |
/250 We eat meat and dairy off our land or from hunting, vegetables and fruit from the garden or locally sourced. Mostly organic. We can cater for vegetarians and have had vegans in the past, no problem.
Vegetarian? - No

|
| Hours |
/250 We work between breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday, depending on what kind of work we're doing. We do a few odd jobs in the weekend but generally take it easy and have a rest or go to the beach! Help with the dishes is much appreciated.
|
| Special instructions |
/250 We provide anything you want for breakfast and a cooked lunch and dinner. Be mindful that some things like organic muesli are very expensive and making our bread is very time consuming. Josh makes a mean Turkish coffee...
